Doing Business with the City of San Jose -- Supplier Survey

Dear Valued Business Owner or Representative:

Did you know that between July 2007 and June 2008 the City of San Jose spent over $100 million in contracts with local San Jose businesses? To find out about new contract opportunities and register as a City vendor, please visit the City of San Jose's website at: http://www.sanjoseca.gov/purchasing/default.asp

The City of San Jose Small Business Development Commission (SBDC) and the City of San Jose (City) are interested in receiving your feedback regarding the City's bidding process (Request for Quotes, Request for Construction Bids, Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications) to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies.

This anonymous survey seeks information about your experience doing business with the City and other local governmental agencies. The survey information will be presented in summary form to the SBDC and the City Council.

This survey will take about five minutes to complete. Prior to taking the survey, please have your company's Standard Industrial Code (SIC) or Northern American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number available to facilitate the appropriate classification of your business. If you are unaware of these classification systems, you can proceed by describing your business in the appropriate field.

The SBDC and the City appreciate your time in responding to this survey.
